Madame Pang receives the honor to provide a welcoming speech to the Council attending the FIFA Council Meeting

Nualphan Lamsam, also known as Madame Pang, the President of the Football Association of Thailand received the honor to provide a welcoming speech to FIFA President Gianni Infantino and the working team at the FIFA Council Meeting occurred at the Athenee Hotel Bangkok on 15 May 2024.

After the FIFA Council, FIFA President Gianni Infantino said, “I was happy to discuss several key topics at the FIFA Council Meeting today in Bangkok, particularly in relation to the future of women’s football.”

“The unanimous approval of the women’s international match calendar and subsequent amendments to our regulations represent an important milestone in our pledge to take the women’s game to the next level. The FIFA Council also approved the creation of a new women’s competition, the FIFA Women’s Club World Cup, starting in 2026.”

“These game-changing moves will boost women’s football, enhance global competitiveness and growth, particularly in regions where women’s football is less developed, and protect the well-being of the players – so I would like to thank all the confederations and other stakeholders for their efforts and commitment towards our common goal.”

The 74th FIFA Congress will take place on 17 May 2024 at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. The key issue is to confirm the host nation or nations of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 between Brazil and a group of European countries: Belgium, Germany, and the Netherlands. The winning condition is to surpass half of the 211 Member Associations' Votes.
